Diversity is one of the biggest things you have to deal with in life. Some people don't even realize what diversity is. Diversity is the combination of sex, race, and ethnicity that is around us in our everyday life. Here at ASU it is important to practice diversity due to all the different groups that attend this school. Diversity is also never a bad thing. When you get older you realize that these are the people you will have to communicate with and you have to develop a way of not being scared of different cultures. They are still and always your peers in life and that doesn't change because they are different.
When it comes down to diversity, I acknowledge the fact of respecting everyone around me. I know I have to talk to people no matter if they like me or are like me in any way. I actually enjoy talking to different people because I get understanding of different customs that I would have never known if I hadn't talked to different people. For example, a guy in my class is from the middle east and wears a tariff. That didn't stop me form talking to him in our group discussion because I don't care how different people are. That makes me feel good inside that i acknowledge they're there and I received information about his culture that may be good to know in the future. If diversity didn't exist, I believe the world wouldn't be as interesting as it is.

Global Engagement
Global engagement is a topic that everybody in the world should be concerned with. It is based on the people who care not only about themselves but the people around the world. these people help in any way they can to provide and good and safe life for everybody. it also deals with sustainability, which is the reuse of special resources. A good example came in the movie I watched in the module. people need water in other countries and there were people who wanted to develop some way to help. That is called global engagement.
To me global engagement is a hard thing to get everybody in the world to do. Today, we have a lot of people who develop charities to help with starvation in the world. the main problem though is that people don't know how to recycle materials that they do not need. In the movie it gave an example of a country that was needing a water source because theirs was destroyed by pollution. if we all became socially and globally engaged, we could develop a way to give these poor human beings safe water to drink. It is messed up to see people waste things like food and water because somebody else would appreciate what was left. i truly believe that more peace would be brought out in the world if we all helped each other out in not just big ways, but ways that are helpful.
Being globally engaged requires not only yourself, but the people all around you. Like I said peace could be brought out if we used global engagement and a lot could be learned by what you start to learn and adapt to in each country. A good way to get involved is to participate in a Summer Abroad program, where you learn the customs and relations in other companies. This could also help you out with a business you choose to do world wide. You'll learn language and customs that will be used by everyone to earn money.

Entrepreneurship
Not a lot of people know about the benefits and well being of becoming en entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is a person who owns their own commitments and make money off of business. Most entrepreneur are involved in business and selling their own products thought and designed by themselves. They are people who want to be their own boss and do good at leading a company on their own. To some people entrepreneurship is a waste of effort, but it can be less stressful and more encouraging.
Being an accountant I someday want to become an entrepreneur. This is because i hate working under somebody else's rules and procedures. When I become able to do my own ideas and make my own profits, I will only have to deal with what I need to do and not what is being assigned for me to do. Most people don't mind being controlled, but I am really bothered by the fact. Sometimes I have ideas for my job that I know would sell, but the managers pay no attention to me. I think I would be perfect as an entrepreneur because I can develop good ideas and use them effectively. Part of the reason why I am becoming an accountant is to gain the knowledge of how to manage my own money. Especially if i decide to open a business. knowing how to manage money will improve my business and show me how much of an awarding career it is to pursue in.
A big entrepreneur that is important to me is Tony Hawk. he is a business man by heart, but doesn't show it like most. he also knows how to negotiate with other companies and has made a lot of money by companies he has opened. That is the type of person I want and know I can someday be. I will not destroy my dream of being one of the best in business.

Just by reading the tutorial I read, I have discovered that there are so many ways to gain research through my ASU Libraries. Even the on-line sites provide information that will be helpful in any type of research etc. I learned that the libraries at ASU can be used by all students and they all share the same communication software.
Before, people would gain most of their information with using Google as a main search engine for everything. Sometimes people think they are receiving the right information based on a topic, but they don't realize that not all the information on Google is true. Other than irrelevant information, Google also can be very time consuming. This is because you search for information and it gives you books to buy that you can gain the information. Another main thing that can be very time consuming is the things that pop up with what you need to know. Sometimes things pop up that contain the phrase you want information on, but don't give information on that topic. So besides google, an easier way for ASU students to gain knowledge is through the Libraries web- site. it provides you with information on topics that were written by actual scholars and not some random person off the Internet who can make a web page. It is the way to go because it gives you all relevent information and is in no way, time consuming.

Student Success at ASU
Student success is one of my biggest influences. I agree that it is very important to obtain and can be very helpful. There are so many examples of what you can do to be successful as a student. Form time management to using the right techniques to pass college and gain the knowledge you receive. These are all done by how you decide to receive your education and can only be considered by you.
One of the biggest steps I use in my succeeding is my time management. With every night of homework and the work I do after school, I have to develop ways of getting it all done and being able to be ready for the next day. It starts to take a lot out of you first because it is new to you and their are just some situations you don't know how to handle. One of the hardest things fro me is the amount of time I get each night to do homework and complete assignments before they are due. This effects me because I either don't get enough sleep for the next day or I don't do assignments to my full potential. This brings me down as a student cause I know I can do better and it slows down my success. But i look for ways to manage my time because when I do it right, it gives me more confidence in succeeding.
After all is said and done you always need to develop ways of being able to get your work done and right, but to still gain full knowledge of what is taught. I learned in this section many ways of obtaining a good level of success that I didn't know before. Thanks to this section I've learned how to make life easier for me and how easy it is to manage your time correctly, so I gain everything I want in my education. For me, success brings happiness, and that is my main goal in life. To be successful. I just need the right motivation and skills to do so.

Academic Integrity
With academic integrity you have to develop ways of getting through college, honestly, that will be beneficial to your future. I've learned that their are so many ways to become honest in your learning and the benefits of doing so. I believe that the ways of being honest at everything you do will provide you with so much confidence and courage in yourself. Being honest in your learning will give you the knowledge you deserve and that will be used when the time comes. It is very important that you learn everything instead of just working at getting the acceptable grade. I'm telling you, it will bring a benefit in the long run.
At ASU there are many actions that come into play when a professor sees you being dishonest in your learning. For example, the main act of dishonesty is cheating on a test. You shouldn't receive a good grade based on cheating unless you actually have the knowledge known. To me it is cheating education and getting you through life an easier way. You get through it, but sometimes you realize it just isn't worth it. When a professor catches you cheating you automatically receive a zero and you get dropped from the class. Another thing that comes with cheating is a permanent XE that will be shown on your transcript. This will effect you in so many ways. From getting a decent job you've always wanted to being known by your peers as a cheater. It is not worth it to be dishonest cause you learn nothing and it messes with your future when the chance is taken and failed.
